    We have a challenging opportunity for a National Account Manager supporting our Kensington Canada business in the Ottawa region.     Reporting directly to the National Sales Manager, and as part of the Kensington Canada team, the successful National Account Manager will come with a track-record of outstanding sales experience, a honed customer service skillset and a passion for technology centred around new products and innovative go-to-market business solutions. At Kensington we value candidates who are passionate about sales growth within existing clients while proactively pursuing new clients for incremental business, while identifying roadblocks or obstacles that lead to developing client trust for further sales attainment. The ideal candidate will be innovative enough to suggest tailored technology solutions to common workplace problems along with facilitating smooth relations between client executives and our own. The successful candidate must also have channel customer sales expertise, act as the main point of contact for their buyers, marketing managers, operations/inventory managers and finance managers. Primary channel focus includes, and is not limited to, DMR, VAR & PC OEM’s with heavy emphasis on the Federal Government (Shared Services Canada) business. Fulfillment opportunities will be channel-friendly sourcing through our Canadian Tech Distribution partner network. With marketing and channel support from cross-functional teams in both Canada and the US, this individual will own the sales targets while working as a team to build the go-to-market plan to achieve maximum revenue and profit growth while increasing market presence and share in the key areas of sales focus.


    Key duties of the role include:


    • Work closely with DMR/VAR reps and their end user buyers; building strong business relationships to enable client analysis for innovative solution development
    • Expertly close client contracts; secure Kensington as the incumbent or win the incremental sale
    • Maintain a sales pipeline through our Salesforce.com automation tool in order to track progress and report on goal attainment
    • Conduct a combination of cold calling to generate new prospect leads along with continued client management on a current book of business
    • Present to gain placement of new products and promotions; includes educating clients on all business solutions
    • Identify new category opportunities from the field and communicate to product management
    • Participate in account marketing activities and industry trade events
    • Use POS data analytics to identify strong client performers and potential growth opportunities
    • Ensure accounts payable, contract terms, and other contractual obligations are on-point, and aligned internally/externally


    • Business diploma or degree from a post-secondary institution
    • Minimum of 6-10 years of sales or channel experience required; relevant industry / competitive experience in similar consumer products highly desirable
    • Bilingual English and French language proficiency required
    • Must have experience working within the Federal Government (Shared Services Canada) sector and possess pre-existing relationships with decision-makers
    • Able to develop strong Kensington product vs competitive product knowledge while keeping current on marketing and advertising trends
    • Must be able to negotiate and solve problems while demonstrating business acumen with a deep understanding of sales pipeline processes
    • Self-motivated, confident decision-maker
    • Good interpersonal, teamwork and networking skills
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Strong analytical skillset
    • Able to adjust to a constantly changing environment while able to quickly learn and adapt to new technologies
    • High energy, passion for the brand, energetic and dynamic, thrives to win
    • Must be proficient in MS Office Suite and Salesforce.com
    • 25% travel required within Canada and/or US
